Count every puff, then watch the number come down
Puff Zero's puff tracker logs individual puffs with a single tap and turns them into daily and weekly totals, time-of-day patterns, and a trend line you can actually read. It is the foundation the rest of the app is built on: your daily limit, your reduction plan, and your progress all derive from what you log.
Why count puffs rather than devices or days
Cigarettes come pre-portioned, which is why quit-smoking tools count cigarettes and smoke-free days. Vaping does not work that way. A pod lasts an unpredictable number of sessions, a session lasts an unpredictable number of puffs, and "I went through two disposables this week" tells you very little about your intake.
A puff is the smallest honest unit of the habit. Counting at that resolution is what makes a reduction target meaningful β going from 180 puffs a day to 140 is a real, visible change, where "vaping a bit less" is not.
What the tracker records
Every puff you log is timestamped, which is where the time-of-day pattern comes from. Most people are surprised by their own distribution β the peak is rarely where they assumed.
You can attach how you were feeling and what was happening at the time. That is optional on every log, because a tracker that demands a form gets abandoned.
Daily totals roll into weekly and monthly views so a single bad day reads as a single bad day rather than a failure.
What you can see over time
Your daily count against your current limit, your trend across weeks, your heaviest hours, and how much money the reduction has kept in your pocket based on what you told the app your vaping costs.
What Puff Zero doesn't do
- Tracking is manual. Puff Zero has no way to detect a puff automatically, so an unlogged puff is an invisible one.
- Missed logs make the trend look better than reality. The app is a mirror, and a mirror is only useful if you stand in front of it honestly.
- Cost and savings figures are estimates based on the spending you enter, not on real purchase data.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I log a puff?
- One tap on the home screen. Adding mood or trigger context is optional and can be done at the same time or skipped entirely.
- Can I log puffs after the fact?
- Yes. You can adjust the day's count if you forgot to log in the moment, so a missed hour does not corrupt the record.
- Does the puff counter work offline?
- Logging works on-device, so you can record puffs without a connection. Data syncs when you are back online.
- What does the tracker do with my data?
- Your puff logs are stored in your account so they survive a reinstall or a new phone. See the privacy policy for what is stored and which processors are involved.
