Puff Zero ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Puff Zero:

  • Account Information: Email, username, and password when you create an account.
  • Usage Data: Puff counts, progress, mood check-ins, and goals you set.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique identifiers.
  • Purchase Data: Subscription information processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the app's services
  • Personalize your experience and goals
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send relevant notifications (if authorized)
  • Analyze and improve app performance

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, user profile storage, and puff/check-in data storage
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management and entitlement verification
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing
  • PostHog: Anonymous product analytics — usage events such as screen views, button taps, and feature engagement, used to improve the app. PostHog does not receive your puff data, journal entries, or mood check-ins.
  • Sentry: Crash reporting and error monitoring. Sentry receives crash stack traces and diagnostic information so we can fix bugs. It does not receive your puff data, journal entries, or mood check-ins.
  • Ask Puffy AI Coach: When you chat with Puffy, your messages and a summary of your stats (puffs, streak, goal) are sent through our secure Cloud Function to an AI/LLM provider to generate a response. Conversations are not used to train AI models. Do not share personally identifying information with Puffy.

4. Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your information.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

6. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request account deletion at any time through the app settings.

7. Age Requirement

Puff Zero is not intended for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
