Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Everything published under Puff Zero's name — the quit-vaping guides, comparisons, and FAQ content — follows the rules on this page. Quitting nicotine is a health topic (what Google calls "Your Money or Your Life" content), and we hold ourselves to health-content standards even though we are a small independent publisher.

Sourcing standards

  • Health claims must be consistent with guidance from the WHO, CDC, NHS, or an equivalent national health authority, and each article lists its sources.
  • Statistics must trace to a named, real source. Our production pipeline mechanically blocks publication of any article containing an unresolved fact-check marker.
  • We do not extrapolate research about smoking to vaping unless the source itself supports that application, and we say so when the evidence for a claim is contested or limited.
  • We never give dosing advice for nicotine-replacement therapy or medication — that belongs to clinicians and pharmacists.

How content is produced (including AI)

Our articles are drafted with the help of AI language models against a structured brief, then pass two gates before publication: an automated review that scores accuracy, tone, and structure against this policy, and mechanical validation that enforces sourcing and honesty rules (for example, every article that discusses tools or apps must include a section on their limitations). Content that fails either gate is rewritten or discarded. We publish gradually rather than in bulk, and we update or prune articles that turn out to be wrong or stale.

Product mentions and comparisons

This site is published by the maker of the Puff Zero app, and that bias is disclosed rather than hidden. Our rules: articles mention Puff Zero at most once outside of explicit comparisons; comparison pages state their criteria, include competitors' genuine strengths, never automatically rank Puff Zero first, and include free and government-backed alternatives where they exist. We do not pay for editorial mentions and do not publish fake reviews, anywhere.

Medical review status

Honest status: our content is not yet reviewed by a licensed clinician. We are actively looking for a qualified medical reviewer (physician, pharmacist, or tobacco-treatment specialist) to review our health content; until then, articles are informational only and are checked against public health-authority guidance rather than by an individual professional. Nothing on this site is medical advice or a substitute for care from a clinician. If you are a clinician interested in this role, contact us at feedback@puffzero.app.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, we want to fix it quickly. Email feedback@puffzero.app with the article URL and the issue. Corrected articles get an updated "last modified" date; material corrections are noted in the text.
