What Puffy is

Puffy is an AI companion inside the Puff Zero app, powered by a large language model. It knows the context of your quit — your plan, your progress, your triggers — and uses it to give supportive, practical responses when you need them: mid-craving at 2 a.m., after a slip, or when you just want to talk through a hard day. Its tone is deliberate: encouraging and honest, never clinical, preachy, or fear-based.

What Puffy can do

• Talk you through a craving with distraction and reframing techniques in the moment it hits.
• Answer general questions about nicotine withdrawal, tapering, and what to expect when you cut down.
• Use your own tracking data — trigger patterns, progress, streaks — to make its support specific instead of generic.
• Help you regroup after a slip without the guilt spiral.

What Puffy cannot do

• It is not a clinician. Puffy does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and it will not give dosing guidance for nicotine-replacement therapy or medication — those questions belong to a doctor or pharmacist.
• It is not a crisis service. If you are in distress or having thoughts of self-harm, Puffy is the wrong tool; contact a crisis line or emergency services in your country immediately.
• It can be wrong. Puffy is built on a language model, and language models make mistakes. Verify anything important with a primary source or a professional.
• It is not therapy. If anxiety, depression, or another condition is tangled up with your vaping, an app companion is a supplement to professional support, not a replacement for it.

Data and privacy

Your conversations with Puffy are processed by an AI provider to generate responses. We don't sell your data, and the specifics of what is stored, for how long, and how to delete it are documented in our privacy policy, which always takes precedence over this summary.

Why we publish this page

"AI coach" is a phrase that gets oversold. We'd rather tell you exactly what Puffy is — a well-tuned language model with your quit context — than let you assume it's something it isn't. The same honesty policy applies to all our content; see our editorial policy.
